I am a self professessed "Civic Activist", which simply means that I believe that everyone should support the community they live in and contribute their time, talents or money to make it better. As you will see by the attached information and links to my web sites at www.eveready-mda.com and www.Leigh2000.com , I have been self-employed since 1977 and believe I understand the need to analyze, assess and promote programs and policies that affect us all.
As a computer systems analyst and consultant, my specialties include accounting, security, database management, project development and creating and implementing marketing programs.
My extensive experiences in local civic activities have given me a unique insight into the importance of maintaining and promoting a positive image and cooperation between public services. During my 9-year service as a trustee on the Union Hospital District, I was personally very involved in almost every new service program that was implemented.
In addition, my communication skills in building coalitions between groups during my 18 years in Union were further refined during my 17 month tenure as a co-host on the Live Wire talk program on WBCU radio and through my business building web sites and marketing plans for my clients.

Founder / Operator, Eveready Alarms & Communications, February 1977 – December 1999. In addition to the standard business functions: scheduling, payroll, sales, collections, etc., my state license (BA-023) required an extensive electronics knowledge test. I sold the company to Home Security / AMC Central Station in December after my divorce of 25 years.
President, Marketing Development Association, Inc., April 1982 – Present. Computer consulting group with extensive background in all Microsoft Products, Novell and Windows NT networking, Microsoft Solutions Provider and web page design and creation.
