One of the recommendations of the ICARE committee based on the declining student population was to consolidate all three high schools and utilize Jonesville High and the Lockhart High classes for the addition space required by the state mandated student / teacher ratios until the Jonesville area grew enough to justify a new school. Many unanswered questions concerning finances, attendance lines and public outcry led the School Board to rescind its request to the Union County Delegation to introduce legislation to split the district. Which would you prefer?
